Induction heating application examples: hardening
Faster and more stable heat treatment.
Quenching is most commonly used with steel alloys. Many mechanical parts such as gears, shafts, and springs undergo surface treatment before shipment to improve wear behavior. It is one of the most effective and widely adopted treatments to enhance the durability of components. Quenching is ideal for various applications in industries such as automotive, aerospace, and energy. There are generally two methods of quenching: ■ Through-hardening The entire part is hardened. It is used with medium to high carbon steel for moderate strength and surface hardness. ■ Surface hardening Parts of the surface or interior are hardened according to the requirements of specific applications. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
